Job Title: Corporate Nurse
Job Summary: The Corporate Nurse is responsible for promoting and maintaining the physical and mental health of employees through preventive measures, health education, and the management of workplace injuries and illnesses. This role involves providing first aid, conducting health assessments, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and supporting overall employee wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
Health and Wellness Programs:
- Develop and implement health and wellness programs, including health screenings, vaccination drives, fitness programs, and mental health initiatives.
- Educate employees on health issues and promote healthy lifestyle choices through workshops, seminars, and communication materials.
Medical Services:
- Provide immediate medical care and first aid to employees in case of workplace injuries or illnesses.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician, and maintain accurate records of care provided.
- Coordinate with external healthcare providers for referrals or further treatment when necessary.
Occupational Health and Safety:
- Conduct regular health assessments and monitor the workplace for potential health hazards.
- Collaborate with the Health and Safety Officer to ensure that the company complies with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the development and enforcement of health and safety policies and procedures.
Employee Health Records:
- Maintain and update confidential employee health records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Prepare and submit reports on health trends, workplace injuries, and other relevant data.
Health Counseling:
- Provide one-on-one health counseling to employees on various health issues, including stress management, nutrition, and chronic disease management.
- Offer support and resources for employees dealing with personal health challenges.
Emergency Response:
- Act as the first responder in workplace emergencies, including administering CPR and coordinating with emergency medical services.
- Participate in emergency drills and preparedness planning.
Administrative Duties:
- Manage the company clinic, including inventory control of medical supplies and equipment.
- Handle administrative tasks related to employee health insurance claims and medical leave processing.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that the company complies with all relevant health regulations and guidelines set by the Department of Health (DOH) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
- Stay updated on changes in health and safety laws that may impact the workplace.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Certification in Occupational Health Nursing is an advantage.
- At least 1 year of experience in a clinical or corporate setting.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in basic computer applications and health record management systems.
Work Environment:
- Primarily office-based with potential exposure to workplace hazards.
- May require occasional travel for training or health-related activities.
