Job Description

Are you a licensed nurse who wants to keep using your clinical judgment — without the 10-12-hour shifts MEDVA is seeking Registered Nurses to support U.S.-based healthcare providers with patient triage, care coordination, and clinical documentation, entirely from a remote setting.

What You'll Do

  • Triage patient calls and messages using nursing assessment skills, escalating urgent and emergent cases per protocol
  • Conduct patient education on diagnoses, medications, pre- and post-procedure instructions, and self-management
  • Support chronic care management and remote patient monitoring programs, including scheduled check-ins and documentation
  • Assist with medication management, refill requests, and prior authorization clinical reviews
  • Communicate test results, prescriptions, and treatment plans under provider direction
  • Perform post-discharge and post-op follow-up calls, flagging complications early
  • Document patient encounters accurately and maintain complete, audit-ready medical records
  • Coordinate care across providers, specialists, and patients to close referral and follow-up loops
  • Support administrative workflows including scheduling, charting, and report generation
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and uphold clinical documentation standards

What You Bring

  • Registered Nurse license (your resume must clearly indicate license)
  • Minimum of 1-year clinical nursing experience
  • Experience working in a remote medical setting or telehealth nursing role
  • Experience with U.S. healthcare regulations, insurance workflows, and documentation standards
  • Strong command of nursing assessment, medical terminology, disease processes, and pharmacology
  • Demonstrated experience in patient triage and urgency assessment
  • Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to explain clinical information clearly and compassionately over phone and chat
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and healthcare tech platforms
  • Sound clinical judgment and the discipline to work within scope and provider direction
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Bonus Points

  • USRN licensure
  • Specialty background in med-surg, ICU, ER, oncology, cardiology, or care management
  • Experience with chronic care management (CCM), remote patient monitoring (RPM), or utilization review

If you're ready to bring nursing expertise and compassionate care to a virtual healthcare team, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and help us deliver excellence — one patient at a time.
