Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Gastroenterology to support clinic operations for a healthcare practice. This role focuses on patient coordination, chart review, and ensuring smooth communication between patients, providers, and the clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and prepare patient charts before appointments and procedures
- Coordinate with clinic staff, providers, and partner facilities to ensure efficient patient flow
- Communicate with patients regarding pre- and post-procedure instructions
- Assist with clinical documentation and maintain accurate patient records
- Verify patient information, including medical history, medications, and allergies
- Ensure all required documentation and consents are completed prior to procedures
- Monitor patient progress and escalate concerns when needed
Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN)
- At least 4 years of clinical experience
- Experience in Gastroenterology (GI) is required
- Background in clinic, ambulatory, or surgical settings is an advantage
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Technical Requirements
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW) is a plus
Preferred Skills
- Experience in patient education and GI-related procedures (e.g., colonoscopy, endoscopy prep)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams
