Job Description

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other federal agencies, all over the world.

The Architect will be responsible for providing services to supplement in-house capabilities for the 1st Expeditionary Civil Engineer Group (1 ECEG) to provide planning, design, and construction capabilities for US Air Forces Central (USAFCENT). The Architect will be part of a team that will support base engineering requirements, requirements assessment, planning, and project closeout.

The salary range for this position, based on the market data, is Php 400-500 /hour (range varies depending on experience and qualifications).

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and assisting design projects for new construction, renovations, and improvements to real property facilities from start to finish
  • Handles pre-construction site surveys all the way to completion of as-built drawings
  • Converts hand-drawn plans, concept sketches, existing redlined drawings and schematics to presentable, detailed finished drawings by using AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D/GIS
  • Shall assist in the development and updating of maps and relational databases which includes photo imagery, topography, floodplains, airfield pavements and features, roadway and transportation features, facilities and infrastructures
  • Ensures that designs are within federal and local codes concerning health, safety and environment of real property facilities
  • Responsible for tracking all projects against the service contracts according to 1ECEG's priorities; perform daily project visits and daily reports; and, coordinates completion of installation work clearance requests
  • Shall ensure timely and accurate preparation and disposition of Government's project Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) documentation, including photographic documentation, AF Form 1477, and/or such other documentation requirements put into place by the Government
Qualification To Be Successful In The Role
  • Must be a Registered Architect
  • With at least 5 years experience in designing and handling of contingent construction services including concept and project development and scoping, preparation of floor plans, elevations, schematics and renderings
  • Highly knowledgeable in MS Office, computer aided design and drafting (CADD) programs, AutoCAD/AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D/GIS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project scheduling software
  • Knowledgeable in using mapping software
  • Must be able to operate and troubleshoot large format plotters
  • Preferably knowledgeable with USAF planning and programming rules and documentation
  • Familiarization with federal and local codes concerning health, safety and environment of real property facilities
  • Attention to details is a must
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Must be committed to devoting sufficient time to this contract and associated task orders
  • Excellent English oral and written communication and skills
  • Must be a resident of Olongapo Zambales.
