INNOVATIVE MEDICINES GROUP

Innovation continues to be a key growth driver for Glenmark. In order to increase our focus on the in-house discovery and development of novel molecules, we have created a distinct sub-group within Glenmark called the Innovative Medicines Group. Through this division, we will continue the development of innovative therapies to address critical unmet medical needs and to improve the lives of patients and their families with serious diseases. Our current specialty pipeline consists of two respiratory molecules in various stages of clinical development, 1 molecule each in

the therapy areas of pain and oncology. Each of these molecules has the potential to improve patient outcomes by proving to be safer and more effective than currently available0therapies.

ROLE OVERVIEW/ PURPOSE

The Regional Training Manager – APAC will be responsible for designing and driving a comprehensive capability-building agenda across the region. The role will support rapid business expansion by strengthening onboarding, enhancing functional and behavioral competencies, and embedding an integrated capability framework across diverse markets, including distributor-led geographies.

OVERALL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Capability Building and Training Strategy:

  • Develop and implement an integrated capability framework covering Functional training (Product knowledge, disease area expertise), selling skills & customer engagement techniques, market access fundamentals, compliance & ethical promotion practices, and Behavioral and Leadership Skills
  • Align training strategy with regional business goals and market maturity levels
  • Partner with regional and global stakeholders to ensure consistency and relevance

Onboarding and Expansion Support:

  • Design and execute structured onboarding programs for new hires across APAC
  • Support capability build for new market entries and business expansions
  • Ensure distributor teams are effectively onboarded and aligned with company standards

Training Needs Analysis(TNA):

  • Conduct role-based capability diagnosis across markets and functions
  • Identify skill gaps through field visits, stakeholder interviews, and performance data
  • Prioritize learning interventions based on business impact

Content Development and Localization:

  • Create and customize training content, toolkits, and collateral for APAC markets
  • Ensure localization of global materials to suit cultural and market-specific needs
  • Develop digital and blended learning solutions

Training Delivery and Facilitation:

  • Facilitate high-impact training sessions (virtual and in-person) across the region
  • Build internal trainer capability and certify local trainers where needed
  • Ensure consistent delivery standards across direct and distributor markets

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with country leadership, sales heads, medical teams, and distributors
  • Act as a trusted advisor on capability development initiatives
  • Work closely with HR and L&D teams to align on talent development priorities

Customer Relations Management System (CRM):

  • Own the CRM roadmap and ensure it supports sales, marketing, and other stakeholders
  • Provide training and drive adoption of CRM tool among Users (new and current employees)
  • Ensure data completeness and accuracy of KPI call reports via CRM
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports to ensure leadership has reliable, timely insights

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Define KPIs to evaluate training effectiveness (knowledge gain, behavior change, business impact)
  • Track and report training outcomes across markets
  • Continuously refine programs based on feedback and performance insights

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or related field (master's degree or MBA is an advantage).

Experience

8-10 years of experience in Training/ L&D, preferably in Pharmaceuticals/ Healthcare. Proven experience in managing regional or multi-cultural training programs.

Knowledge and Skills (Functional / Technical)

  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical sales, product, and disease training
  • Expertise in instructional design and adult learning principles
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
  • Experience working with distributor markets is highly preferred
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-cultural collaboration skills
  • Analytical mindset with ability to conduct training needs diagnosis
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements for pharmaceutical promotion.
