Our client is a global organisation operating within the life sciences sector.
Job Description
- Own key tax accounting deliverables across monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting cycles, covering current and deferred tax provisions.
- Coordinate corporate income tax and other direct and indirect tax compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with regional teams and external advisers.
- Manage effective tax rate analysis, reconciliations, financial statement tax disclosures and supporting schedules while contributing to audit and forecasting activities.
- Provide day-to-day guidance to tax team members, reviewing calculations and workpapers while ensuring priorities and deadlines remain on track.
- Partner with finance, legal, compliance and other business functions on tax, regulatory and governance requirements, including interactions with advisers, auditors and tax authorities.
- Support transfer pricing documentation, tax governance, statutory requirements and responses to tax audits or information requests.
- Participate in M&A, integration and restructuring initiatives while identifying opportunities to strengthen tax processes, controls and reporting tools.
- Professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA or equivalent.
- Has 5 years or more experience within corporate tax, tax accounting, professional services or a sizeable corporate environment.
- Strong practical experience in tax effect accounting, deferred tax, IFRS income tax reporting and financial statement tax disclosures.
- Solid knowledge across corporate income tax, indirect taxes, withholding tax and global tax compliance.
- Exposure to multinational reporting environments and experience coordinating with internal stakeholders, auditors and external tax advisers.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities and recurring reporting deadlines independently.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with ERP, tax compliance and financial reporting systems.
- Additional exposure to transfer pricing, tax audits, restructuring, corporate governance or company secretarial matters would complement the role well.
