A Regional Collection Team Leader is typically responsible for managing a collections team across a specific geographic region to ensure timely recovery of payments, reduction of overdue accounts, and achievement of collection targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and motivate regional collections personnel to achieve collection and recovery targets
- Monitor delinquent accounts and implement effective collection strategies
- Ensure timely resolution of past-due accounts while maintaining positive customer relationships
- Analyze collection performance metrics and prepare regular management reports
- Conduct field visits and account reviews when necessary
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, internal policies, and legal requirements
- Handle escalated or high-risk collection cases
- Coordinate with branch operations, credit, legal, and risk management teams
- Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluation for team members
- Recommend process improvements to enhance collection efficiency and portfolio quality
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- At least 2–3 years of experience in field collections; leadership or senior collector experience is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of banking collection practices and delinquency management
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
- Must know how to drive and willing to travel within the assigned region
