Region Head – Branch Banking
We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Region Head to lead the overall performance, growth, and operations of our branch banking network across the Visayas region.
This executive leadership role is responsible for overseeing multiple branches within Visayas through a team of Area Heads, driving business growth, sales performance, customer experience, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance. The Region Head will play a critical role in executing regional strategies, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring consistent delivery of business objectives across the assigned branch network.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Business Leadership
- Lead and oversee the overall performance of multiple branches across the Visayas region through Area Heads.
- Develop and execute regional business strategies that drive growth in deposits, consumer loans, investments, bancassurance, and other retail banking products.
- Ensure achievement of sales, profitability, customer acquisition, and market share targets across the region.
- Identify opportunities for branch expansion, relocation, and network optimization based on market opportunities and customer demand.
Sales & Business Performance
- Drive sales excellence by monitoring regional performance and implementing action plans to achieve business objectives.
- Conduct regular business reviews with Area Heads and Branch Leaders to improve productivity and address performance gaps.
- Partner with product, marketing, and support teams to execute strategic sales campaigns and business initiatives.
Customer & Market Leadership
- Strengthen relationships with key clients, community partners, and business stakeholders throughout the region.
- Champion exceptional customer experience and lead service recovery initiatives for priority clients.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth.
Operations, Risk & Governance
- Ensure all branches within the region operate in compliance with banking regulations, internal policies, audit requirements, and risk management standards.
- Oversee branch operations, business continuity, operational controls, and governance practices.
- Review and approve credit proposals and other transactions within delegated authority.
People Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop Area Heads and regional leadership teams to build a high-performing organization.
- Drive employee engagement, succession planning, talent development, and performance management.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Management, or a related field.
- At least 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in retail or branch banking, with extensive experience managing multiple branches.
- Proven track record of leading regional banking operations and delivering strong sales and business results.
- Experience managing Area Heads, Branch Managers, or equivalent multi-site leadership teams.
- Strong knowledge of retail banking products, sales management, branch operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
- Willing to travel extensively across the Visayas region.
