I. Job Summary
Responsible for the review of the balances of the Trust Books. Make sure that proper monitoring and control are in place and that the balances per general ledger and subsidiary ledger are aligned. Recommend solution and process adjustment as necessary on the identified variances on the accounting books.
II. Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts daily monitoring reconciliation of the balances of general ledger against subsidiary ledger
- Conducts daily reconciliation on issues involving irregular/abnormal balances
- Ensure that reconciliation issues involving other TSG Units are properly escalated
- Ensure that reconciliation of issues involving the systems are properly escalated to SMD/DSG/Vendor
- Ensure that all adjustments on the reconciling items are reviewed and approved by the Reconciliation Department Head and is forwarded to the Accounting Department for further review and posting in the Trust System
- Ensures that verbal and written inquiries/request pertaining to services and transactions of the Trust Operations are promptly addressed and attended.
- Attends to the requirements of Internal and External Auditors
- Ensure that Audit Exceptions(Internal, external and BSP) are monitored and addressed with urgency
- Maintain complete and accurate files of all reports/documents
- Recommend/Initiate initiatives or projects that can streamline current processes and procedure related to Reconciliation and Financial Reporting.
- Conforms to internal guidelines, bank policies and regulations governing trust operations.
- Assists in the preparation of Annual Audited Financial Statement of Trust
