Role Summary
We are seeking a Bank Reconciliation Specialist to support daily financial operations and reconciliation activities within an Australian-focused environment. This role requires strong foundational accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and experience working with high-volume transactions and business stakeholders. The successful candidate will work within a collaborative team environment, leveraging tools such as TechnologyOne and Flowcast to ensure accurate financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies and unmatched transactions.
- Review financial entries with a solid understanding of debits, credits, and general accounting principles.
- Collaborate with business units and finance stakeholders to investigate and resolve reconciliation issues.
- Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end close activities.
- Utilise TechnologyOne, Flowcast, and AI-assisted tools to improve reconciliation efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in bank reconciliation or general accounting roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits and credits.
- Experience supporting Australian finance or accounting operations.
- Hands-on experience with TechnologyOne and Flowcast is highly regarded.
- Exposure to AI or large language model (LLM) tools within finance processes is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across business units.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple reconciliation tasks accurately.
