Job Description

Job Summary

The Rebar Engineer is responsible for the supervision and inspection of proper rebar installation. The position also monitors and implements compliance with the companys safety and quality standards.

General Duties And Responsibilities

  • Reviews the structural and architectural plans as well as precast drawings.
  • Ensures that controlled copies of the latest approved documents and drawings are given to the appropriate staff, subcontractors, and suppliers as applicable.
  • Performs rebar requisition and ensures timely delivery on site.
  • Secures approved copy of cutting list diagrams.
  • Checks fabrication of materials based on measurement.
  • Gives instructions to the Foreman, Leadman, Steelman on proper installation of rebar.
  • Monitors the delivery of stocks of all rebar requirements with stock clerks on site.
  • Evaluates and checks accomplishment based on submitted billings.
  • Prepares rebar status report for update and monitoring.
  • Interprets and executes plans and specifications.
  • Prepares and submits necessary documents and reports required by the management.
  • Coordinates rebar works related tasks with other engineers of different areas.
  • Schedules and coordinates rebar works with formworks and concreting.
  • Ensures the implementation of quality plans and objectives of its section.
  • Ensures the strict implementation of cutting list based on the approved plans.
  • Ensures the execution of quality control measures in the given assignment.
  • Implements all environmental, health and safety rules as well as security regulations within his/her area of assignment.

Education Attainment

Bachelor's degree in civil and construction engineering or any related field

Work Experience

1 year of experience in construction or real estate industry

Technical Competencies

  • Proficient in AutoCAD or similar software
  • Knowledge of construction materials, techniques, and industry standards
  • Knowledge of local regulations, codes, and safety standards
  • Proficiency in reading and analyzing construction plans
