Position Summary
The Real Estate Finance Analyst is responsible for developing and presenting complex financial models pertaining to real estate acquisitions, development, funds and investor distributions. This position communicates the models and their findings to members of the Executive team, Real Estate, and other members of upper-level management, assisting with identifying the most strategic approach to achieving portfolio optimization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Create, maintain, and present complex real estate acquisition, development, fund and investor distribution models, making recommendations as needed.
- Research and underwrite acquisition and disposition opportunities in several different markets across the United States to ensure that opportunities strengthen and optimize company's partnerships.
- Develop presentations to communicate findings to Real Estate Team, Executive team, and other stakeholders.
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders on a day-to-day basis.
- Communicate project updates and facilitate financial distributions to our investors.
- Conduct detailed analyses of company investments and suggest portfolio optimization.
- Identify potential markets and market trends strategies.
- Support fundraising efforts globally.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Flexible to work outside of normal business hours when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, or other related field is required.
- A minimum of 2-3 years prior financial modeling experience required.
- Outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; strong knowledge of finance and accounting.
- Advanced understanding of Excel modeling and other MS Office Suite applications.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Highly motivated with demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and requests.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to take initiative and function independently, balanced with strong teamwork skills.
