Job Purpose
Responsible in controlling and monitoring batch reaction process during transesterification of coconut oil with methanolto ensure consistent, high-quality CME production.
General Duties & Key Responsibilities
- Charge raw materials (e.g., coconut oil, methanol, catalyst) into the reactor.
- Start, monitor, and control batch reactions (temperature, pressure, mixing, time)
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each batch
- Ensure product meets CME/biodiesel specifications in coordination with laboratory
- Perform basic troubleshooting and report mechanical issues
- Record batch data (materials, conditions, yields, issues)
- Follow plant safety rules and chemical handling procedures
Job Requirements
- High School/Senior High School Graduate or Vocational Graduate
- Ability to perform manual tasks such as material charging, and loading/unloading of raw materials
- Capable of following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions accurately
- Basic understanding of process or production documentation
- Willing to work in shifting schedules and in a plant/industrial environment
- Physically fit and able to work under varying plant conditions
