The Qualifications We Seek

• Minimum of 5 years of software development experience, with strong expertise in React Native, TypeScript, Node.js, and JavaScript
• Proven experience building, maintaining, deploying, and supporting mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native and TypeScript
• Strong backend development experience with NestJS or similar Node.js frameworks, including REST APIs, authentication, security, and system integration
• Hands-on experience with AWS, cloud-native development, scalable application architecture, system design, performance optimization, and production support
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Agile delivery, and live customer-facing production environments
• Full-stack mindset with the ability to contribute across frontend, backend, cloud, and deployment activities
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Experience working with product managers, designers, and non-technical stakeholders to deliver business outcomes
• Startup, scale-up, or regulated industry experience such as transport, healthcare, or fintech is advantageous
• Established professional network and ability to leverage industry resources is advantageous

Key Responsibilities

Product & Engineering Ownership

• Own end-to-end development of mobile and web platforms
• Ensure code quality, performance, security, and scalability
• Maintain and improve overall system architecture

Frontend Development

• Develop and maintain React Native mobile applications using TypeScript
• Build and maintain JavaScript-based web portals for internal and external users
• Collaborate with product stakeholders to improve UX and usability

Backend Development

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using NestJS
• Build and maintain APIs, authentication flows, and business logic
• Ensure clean, maintainable, and well-documented backend code

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Utilize services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and IAM
• Monitor system performance, reliability, and security
• Deploy and manage web applications using Vercel
• Configure CI/CD pipelines, environment settings, and production deployments

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with product, operations, and leadership teams
• Translate business and operational requirements into technical solutions
• Support rapid iteration, bug fixes, and continuous improvement
• Provide regular reports on task and workload progress
• Coordinate with external contractors and specialists when required
