The Ramp Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all ramp operations to ensure safe, efficient, and timely aircraft turnaround. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and strict adherence to aviation safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Aircraft turnaround: Supervise loading, unloading, fueling, and pushback operations.
- Operational punctuality: Ensure flights depart and arrive on schedule.
- Ramp safety: Enforce safety procedures and compliance with aviation regulations.
- Incident management: Investigate operational incidents and implement corrective measures.
- Team supervision: Lead ramp agents, equipment operators, and ground crew.
- Training & development: Provide staff training on procedures and safety standards.
- Equipment management: Ensure proper use and maintenance of Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
- Resource optimization: Maximize efficiency through effective resource allocation.
- Data analysis: Review operational data to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Logistics, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in ground handling or airport operations.
- Leadership: Prior supervisory or management experience required.
- Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of ramp safety and aviation procedures.
- Skills: Proven leadership, communication, and team management skills.
