Junior Accountant

About the Role

Responsible for preparation and posting of journal entries, maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy in entries and compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparation and posting of journal entries
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy in entries and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Ensure data integrity and prepare financial information as required, in accordance with expected accuracy, timeliness and accessibility.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, balance sheet accounts, etc., and resolve the reconciling items promptly.
  • Maintaining accountability for the standard chart of accounts and for the preparation of account analysis/reconciliations on a timely basis.
  • Support internal and external audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a shared services environment.
  • Experience with account reconciliations.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Blackline) and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, Word).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Fluent English language communication skills required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Can work mid shift or night shift.
  • Can work 3-days onsite a week
