Junior Accountant
About the Role
Responsible for preparation and posting of journal entries, maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy in entries and compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for preparation and posting of journal entries
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy in entries and compliance with accounting standards.
- Ensure data integrity and prepare financial information as required, in accordance with expected accuracy, timeliness and accessibility.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, balance sheet accounts, etc., and resolve the reconciling items promptly.
- Maintaining accountability for the standard chart of accounts and for the preparation of account analysis/reconciliations on a timely basis.
- Support internal and external audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a shared services environment.
- Experience with account reconciliations.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Blackline) and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, Word).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Fluent English language communication skills required.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Can work mid shift or night shift.
- Can work 3-days onsite a week
