What You'll Do:
- Strategic Collaboration: Collaborates with the Technical Consultant and Executive Managing Consultant to develop strategies and plans for Special Projects across categories like Oral Care, Personal Care, and Home Care.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Partners with R&D, Marketing, Consumer Insights, and Supply Chain to recommend formulation blueprints and prototypes that align with product design specifications.
- Laboratory & Efficacy Testing: Performs laboratory experiments to determine product stability and performance, ensuring formulations meet or exceed identified benchmarks and consumer acceptability.
- Production & Scale-up: Works closely with R&D and Supply Chain (Procurement, Manufacturing, and Planning) to conduct timely plant trials and ensure manufacturing processes are validated for new formulations.
- Innovation & Technology: Constantly explores and identifies new materials, ingredients, and technologies to support superior product claims and future product applications.
- Cost Optimization: Develops and implements least-cost alternatives to existing formulations that meet company guidelines for product costing without compromising quality.
- Project Delivery: Ensures all R&D milestones—from initial formulation to final testing—are delivered with speed and accuracy to meet the specific requirements of Special Projects.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Cosmetic Science, or any related courses.
- With 2-3 years (Scientist) or 4-5 years (Senior Scientist) relevant work experience in research and development preferably in Oral Care, Personal Care, Home Care, and related fields.
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of product development and product performance and efficacy testing, with proven record of new product launches.
- Computer literate, with good communication, documentation and writing skills, creative, has keen attention to details, motivated, independent, and a good team player.
- Proficient in Project Management and able to perform multiple tasks within a given timeline.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements will be an advantage.
