R&D Head / Product Development Lead (Coconut-Based Products)
Our client is looking for an experienced R&D leader to develop and launch coconut-based products across food, beverage, and personal care. You will lead the full innovation cyclefrom concept and formulation to prototyping, testing, and scale-up to manufacturingensuring products are clean-label, natural, sustainable, and market-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead formulation, prototyping, stability/sensory testing, and pilot trials
- Optimize processes for quality, efficiency, shelf life, and performance
- Drive feasibility studies, cost analysis, and documentation for new concepts
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., FDA, HACCP, GMP, ISO, ISO 22716; ASEAN/EU as applicable)
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, QA/QC, Procurement, and Sales
- Track trends, benchmark competitors, and build an innovation pipeline
Qualifications
- Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, Biotechnology, or related field
- Strong expertise in formulation, scale-up, and commercialization; knowledge of coconut derivatives
- 812+ years in R&D for food/beverage/beauty/personal care (coconut experience preferred)
- At least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
