The R&D Lead Scientist must be a licensed chemist/chem tech with prior knowledge and training in techniques in
chemistry research, particularly in natural products research. First hand experience in LC-MS is of great value.
Educational Background:
Master's Degree in Chemistry/Agricultural Chemistry/Biochemistry
with a valid PRC license for Chemists or Chemical Technicians.
Experience:
Minimum of 4-years experience in natural products or chemistry research
Skills:
- Proficient in chemistry laboratory techniques, equipment operation (most especially LC-MS, Prep-LC and microplate reader) and knowledge of experimental design.
- Familiarity with data analysis software (e.g. statistical packages, post-processing of LC-MS chromatograms) and the ability to interpret and present data effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality, precision/accuracy and reproducibility
- Committed to maintaining research integrity, following safety protocols, and upholding ethical standards in research.
- Knowledgeable in basic MS office tools most especially MS Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint
- Ability to adapt to evolving research needs, learn new techniques, and work in a dynamic research environment
- Highly-organized, excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Filipino and English language
- Trustworthy, can handle and protect highly confidential information and documents
- Proactive and can work independently
