Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our engineering team. This role will support our company's ongoing civil and infrastructure projects across Southeast Asia (including the Philippines) and other global regions (e.g., Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Canada). Working under the Structural Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for accurate cost management, quantity take-offs, and contract administration to ensure project profitability. We highly value candidates with international project experiences who can expend its scope to the countries outside of Philippines.
Roles & Responsibilities
1) Quantity Take-off & Cost Estimation
- Perform precise Quantity Take-offs based on drawings and specifications
- Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and comprehensive cost estimations for tender purposes and on-going projects
- Ensure all measurements and calculations align with international and local measurement standards
2) Subcontractor & Payment Management
- Review and verify subcontractor progress payment claims especially for the quantities
- Evaluate claims and provide technical support for cost-related disputes
3) Budget Monitoring & Variation Orders
- Monitor project budgets and track expenditures to prevent cost overruns
- Assess and manage Variation Orders resulting from design changes or site-specific conditions, ensuring all adjustments are reflected in the budget
4) Coordination & Technical Support
- Collaborate with the Structural Manager, tender specialists, and procurement teams to provide accurate cost inputs
- Liaise with external stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure alignment on quantities and contract terms
Qualification and Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related Diploma in Quantity Surveying
- Experience: 5 - 10 years of experience in quantity surveying for infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, and industrial facilities)
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel and other related software
- Core Competencies: Strong understanding of construction Method Statements and proven problem-solving skills on-site
- Language: Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English is essential
Working Condition: 8 hours per day / 56 days per week (negotiable)
