Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation & Budgeting

Prepare accurate cost estimates for Architectural & Civil works based on design documents and specifications.

Monitor and control the project budget to ensure adherence to financial plans.

Tendering & Procurement

Assist in the preparation and review of tenders for general works, including evaluating bids and selecting subcontractors or vendors.

Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and services related to the scope of works.

Contract Administration

Review and negotiate contracts with contractors and suppliers for general works.

Ensure all contractual obligations are met, including compliance with terms, conditions, and specifications.

Cost Control & Reporting

Track project costs, ensuring they remain within the approved budget.

Provide regular reports on cost performance, including forecasts, variations, and change orders.

Site Measurement & Valuations

Conduct site measurements for general works and ensure accurate valuations of completed work.

Prepare interim and final payment certificates for contractors.

Claims Management

Assist in managing variations and claims related to the scope of works, ensuring timely resolution.

Prepare and submit cost impact assessments for changes to scope or delays.

Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of works.

Attend project meetings to discuss progress, risks, and cost-related issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in architecture, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on Architectural projects in the construction industry.

Strong knowledge of general systems and their associated costs.

Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Experience

At least 5 Years Experience

Experience in large-scale construction projects, including commercial, residential, or industrial developments.

Familiarity with local regulations and building codes related to architectural and civil engineering.
