Senze Calibration and Measurement Laboratory Inc. (SenzeCal) is an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited calibration laboratory. We provide calibration services across temperature, pressure, electrical, humidity, dew point, precision and industrial weights, linear length, air velocity and flow, liquid flow, torque, vibration, gas detection, and volumetric measurement — serving clients across manufacturing, process, and quality-critical industries.
The Role
We're looking for a QMS Manager with 3–5 years of experience managing a quality management system, ideally within an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration or testing laboratory. You'll act as the key interface between the laboratory and external regulatory and accreditation bodies, owning the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our QMS, and ensuring that quality objectives and compliance requirements are consistently met. This is a strategic role requiring strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of metrology and calibration processes.
What You'll Do
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the laboratory's QMS in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements, keeping procedures, work instructions, and forms current with the latest revisions
- Manage the document control system and ensure calibration/testing records meet ISO 17025 traceability, data integrity, and retention requirements
- Develop and run the internal audit program; lead or coordinate audits, report findings to management, and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)
- Serve as primary point of contact for external regulatory and accreditation bodies during ISO 17025 audits, leading audit preparation and post-audit response
- Investigate non-conformances, run root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone), and maintain the NCR system through to timely, effective closure
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and analyze quality metrics — calibration accuracy, turnaround times, customer complaints — to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and deliver staff training on ISO 17025 requirements and quality procedures; maintain competency records and conduct periodic competence assessments
- Own customer feedback and complaint-handling processes, working with technical staff to resolve issues and improve the customer experience
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience as a Quality Manager, preferably within an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration or testing laboratory
- Solid working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements and metrology/calibration processes
- Experience leading internal audits and directly interfacing with external accreditation bodies
- Hands-on experience with CAPA systems, non-conformance management, and root cause analysis tools
- Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills, with sound judgment and diplomacy
- Experience developing and delivering staff training and competence assessments
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant science, engineering, or quality management field preferred
