Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector – Meters to join our Quality & Customer Support team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that incoming materials, in-process production, and finished meters meet defined quality standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming material inspection (visual, dimensional, fit/form) on all direct materials and prepare inspection reports for review and approval.
  • Conduct daily in-process inspections of meter assembly and promptly escalate any quality anomalies to the Quality Engineer or Manager.
  • Execute final inspection of assembled meters, including accuracy testing and visual compliance checks.
  • Support meter qualification activities for new meter types or form conversions, ensuring panel parameter setup meets requirements.
  • Monitor assembler workmanship to ensure compliance with defined meter assembly procedures.
  • Identify and report non-conforming materials, coordinating with Quality Engineering for proper disposition.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workplace before and after working hours.
  • Perform additional quality-related tasks as needed to support departmental objectives.

What will help you thrive in this role

Required

  • High school graduate (minimum requirement).
  • At least 6 months of experience in a quality inspection, production, or manufacturing-related role.
  • Basic knowledge of quality inspection methods (visual and dimensional checking).
  • Computer literate and comfortable with basic documentation and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined procedures.
  • Ability to work well within a team and communicate issues clearly.
