Role Description The Quality Assurance Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Valenzuela. The role oversees daily quality assurance activities on the production floor, including monitoring processes, conducting inspections, and ensuring that products meet internal and client specifications. Responsibilities include guiding quality control teams, reviewing test results, enforcing quality management systems, and verifying compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements. The supervisor coordinates with production, engineering, and logistics teams to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence. The role also involves preparing reports, maintaining documentation, supporting audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in line with company standards.
Job Description:
- Lead and oversee quality systems in production operations.
- Analyze quality and food safety reports, audits, and incidents.
- Recommend corrective actions and improvements based on findings.
- Lead investigations into quality-related issues, ensuring effective root cause analysis and implementation of correction and prevention plans.
- Coordinate with suppliers and clients regarding product disposition, particularly for held or non-conforming items.
- Ensure consistent safety, compliance, and quality of materials and finished products.
- Implement, monitor, and continually improve quality, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and food safety systems.
- Onboard, train, coach, and engage staff to support their growth and performance.
- Be flexible to work shifting schedules or extended hours as needed to support operations.
Job Specifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related science course.
- Experience:
- At least 2 years of proven working experience in quality assurance or food safety roles within the food manufacturing sector.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in conducting root cause analysis (RCA), evaluating statistical trends, and establishing corrective and preventive actions.
- Skilled in managing batch records, deviation reports, traceability logs, and non-conformance documentation.
- Possesses extensive knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS), and other relevant food safety regulations.
- Familiar with quality audit processes, product recall procedures, and validation protocols.
- Experienced in utilizing quality assurance and quality control tools and software, including ERP systems, Excel, and QA logs.
Soft Skills:
- Strong understanding of basic laboratory equipment and testing methods.
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy in documentation review, process audits, and product assessments.
- Possess leadership, communication, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
