Job Summary

The Quality Manager (SMT) leads the execution of the site's Quality Strategy in alignment with global standards and acts as the Management Representative for the Quality Management System. The role oversees endtoend quality functionsspanning customers, suppliers, and internal teamsto ensure products meet regulatory, industry, and customer requirements. This position drives a strong quality culture, strengthens quality systems and processes, and leads continuous improvement initiatives to support zerodefect performance. This role reports to QA Director.

Responsibilities

SMT Quality Leadership & Governance

• Lead and manage all SMT quality resources including SMT QA Engineers, Supervisors, Technicians, and Quality Inspectors across Laguna and Cavite.
• Act as the Quality owner for SMT lines, ensuring consistent application of quality standards, controls, and best practices.
• Drive alignment with Global Quality Strategy and site manufacturing objectives.
• Foster a quality-driven culture emphasizing accountability, compliance, and prevention.

Process & Product Quality Assurance

• Own and enforce SMT process compliance
• Ensure effective execution of control plans, work instructions, and inspection standards.
• Lead yield monitoring, defect trend analysis, and rework reduction initiatives.

NPI & Change Management Support

• Support SMT NPI builds from a quality perspective
• Build readiness reviews
• Quality risk assessment
• Build quality reporting and lessons learned
• Partner with NPI and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure smooth transition from NPI to mass production.
• Ensure process changes, ECNs, and deviations are properly validated and controlled.

Supplier & Subcontractor Quality (SMT Scope)

• Support SMT-related subcontractor quality activities, including board-level and process qualifications.
• Coordinate with SQE teams on supplier-related SMT quality issues.
• Ensure subcontractor SMT processes meet internal quality and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferably Engineering or any equivalent field.
• At least 10 years of experience in technical leadership or quality management roles preferably in electronics/semiconductor/SMT manufacturing industries.
• Proven experience supporting NPI (New Product Introduction) or new product development activities.
• Solid expertise in manufacturing quality or product quality management.
• Willing to work in Sta. Rosa, Laguna or Rosario, Cavite
