We are looking for Senior QA Engineer with strong experience in API and integration testing (MuleSoft environment) to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise integration solutions. The role focuses on validating API-led integrations, data flows, and end-to-end system interactions across cloud and on-premise platforms
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scenarios for MuleSoft-based integrations and APIs
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across distributed systems
- Conduct API testing (REST/SOAP) using tools such as Postman or equivalent
- Validate API contracts, request/response payloads, data transformations, and error handling logic
- Test API-led connectivity layers (Experience, Process, System APIs) and ensure alignment with business requirements
- Validate event-driven and asynchronous integrations (queues, messaging, webhooks)Identify, log, prioritize, and track defects using tools such as JIRA
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and business analysts to refine requirements and improve test coverage
- Support UAT preparation and execution, including business scenario validation
- Provide clear test reports, defect analysis, and QA status updates to stakeholders
- Contribute to test automation initiatives for API and integration testing (where applicable)
- Ensure compliance with best practices for API quality, security, and performance
Profile
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- 4–7+ years of experience in QA / Software Testing, with strong focus on API testing
- Hands-on experience in MuleSoft integrations or similar iPaaS platforms
- Strong experience in: REST & SOAP API testing, SON/XML payload validation, API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, etc.)
- Understanding of integration concepts (middleware, ESB, microservices, API-led architecture)
- Experience with test case design, defect management, and test reporting
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Basic knowledge of SQL and data validation
- Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform components
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps testing practices
- Experience in test automation for APIs (e.g., RestAssured, Karate, etc.)
- Understanding of message queues (JMS, Kafka, etc.) and asynchronous patterns
