Quality Assurance Engineer

Hostify is a fast growing startup company providing cloud solution for managing Airbnbs and vacation rentals. We are looking to expand our team in order to better serve and support our customers around the world.

Responsibilities

• Test & Validate: Perform manual and automated tests to ensure the platform's functionality, performance, and usability.
• Bug Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring clarity for the R&D team.
• Collaborate: Work closely with the R&D and product teams to understand requirements and improve quality.
• Technical Escalations: Handle advanced technical issues escalated from customer support channels, ensuring timely analysis, resolution, and feedback.
• Automation: Develop and maintain test scripts for regression and API testing.
• Monitor Performance: Conduct performance tests to ensure scalability and reliability under different conditions.
• User-Centric Focus: Test real-world scenarios to enhance the overall user experience.

Requirements

Experience: 2+ years in QA engineering for SaaS platforms or similar software environments.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
• Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
• Strong command of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).

Knowledge:

• Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira).

Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for identifying potential issues and advocating for the best user experience.

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
