Role Overview

The (Solar) Quality and Process Manager is the Process Architect of the Customer Experience (CX) department. Reporting to the Head of CX, you will ensure the efficient operation of all customer-facing workflows by documenting, refining, and standardizing end-to-end processes.

This role is not desk-bound; you will oversee the Field Operations Quality Assurance Leads, ensuring that Solviva's operational and safety standards are rigorously met on-site during installations. Your goal is to build a scalable framework that allows internal teams and third-party partners to deliver consistent, high-quality residential solar solutions.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

1. Process Design & Documentation

  • Design and implement standardized workflows across the customer journey, with a primary focus on Installation and After-Sales technical standards.
  • Work heavily with Engineering and Supply Chain to ensure internal processes deliver OTIF-DF (On-Time, In-Full, Defect-Free).
  • Develop and maintain operational manuals for site screening, technical installation, and long-term after sales maintenance.
  • Partner with the Technical Lead to ensure data and system integrations support physical operational workflows.

2. Quality Management & Auditing

  • Establish a framework for continuous quality improvement (CQI) and adherence to solar industry standards.
  • Field Audits: Design and execute quality audits for on-site installation practices, equipment handling, and technical data accuracy.
  • Define and monitor KPIs to identify process bottlenecks or recurring technical defects.
  • Collaborate on Change Management plans to ensure new quality standards are adopted by field crews and office staff alike.

3. Business Continuity & Resilience

  • Build frameworks to protect service delivery during disruptions (e.g., supply chain interruptions, extreme weather, or system outages).
  • Conduct risk assessments for physical operations and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Establish crisis response protocols for field operations to ensure safety and service continuity.

4. Field Operations Leadership

  • Directly manage the Field Operations Quality Assurance Leads.
  • Oversee the onboarding, training, and quality-rating of third-party solar installers.
  • Perform periodic on-site inspections to verify that paper processes match field reality

Qualifications and Skills

Education & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, or Industrial) or a related technical field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years in Operational Excellence, Quality Management, or Process Engineering.
  • Industry Requirement: Proven background in Solar, Construction, Power/Energy, or Heavy Manufacturing is mandatory. Applicants from purely service-based BPO backgrounds will not be considered.

Certifications

  • Highly Desirable: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or a similar Quality Management System (QMS) certification.
  • Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.

Technical Expertise

  • Expertise in Process Mapping and documenting technical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Strong understanding of Project Management principles for physical assets.
  • Data-driven mindset: Ability to use analytics to identify technical failure points and drive improvements.

Leadership & Interpersonal Skills

  • Exceptional leadership with the ability to influence cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, and Contractors).
  • A Field-First mindset: Comfortable transitioning between boardroom strategy and active construction/installation sites.
  • High sense of ownership, accountability, and a solutions-driven approach under pressure.
