Job Description

OVERVIEW:

The Quantity Survey and Cost Manager will manage the day-to-day activities of the Quantity Survey Section. This role will develop detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on design specifications in all trades (Architectural, Structural and MEPFS);

Additionally, the QS and Cost Management is expected:

  • To create and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.;
  • To oversee the preparation of tender documents and manage the bidding process
  • To oversee contract compliance, ensuring that all parties adhere to terms and conditions
  • To evaluate, assess and manage change orders, ensuring proper documentation and justification.
  • To analyze project designs to identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
  • To ensure cost estimates are on par with industry standards.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Qualifications

  1. With at least 6 years of experience in Quantity Survey for real estate projects specifically in construction, and budget management
  2. With at least 5 years of managerial experience
  3. Should be a Licensed Civil Engineer

Knowledge

  1. House and Land Development Process, Amenities
  2. Engineering Tools and Programs (i.e., Autocad, Building Information Modelling, Cost Management Software, Take-Off Software)
  3. MS Office applications
  4. Business Ethics Frameworks

Skills

  1. Excellent Cost estimating Skills
  2. Strong leadership skills
  3. Strategic and analytical thinking and execution
  4. Change management skills and problem-solving skills
  5. Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
