I. JOB SUMMARY:

The Director for Quality Management Services provides leadership, direction and administration of all aspects of quality management activities to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, quality management system requirements, and established hospital objectives.

II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Does things right the first time all the time

2. Implements 5S in the workplace

3. Shall also be appointed as Quality Management Representative.

4. Directs and oversees the design and implementation of the hospital's quality management system, and quality improvement initiatives;

5. Participates in the critical analysis of department and organization aggregate results of service and health outcomes and develops innovative approaches to service and healthcare delivery reform;

6. Ensures defect prevention through initiation of quality-related activities.

7. Directs and oversees the development of quality management plans, policies and procedures;

8. Directs and oversees the provision of technical direction to staff aimed at improving workflow, outcome, service delivery and capacity;

9. Reports to top management on a regular basis, and as requested, information regarding the operation and progress of the quality management system, and quality improvement efforts;

10. Represents the organization during customer/ third party audits

11. Maintains compliance to statutory and regulatory requirements and expectations for quality management including performance measures, outcomes, reporting and evidence based practices;

12. Maintains and upgrades skills by attending meetings, training sessions, and seminars and by reviewing current literature;

13. Complies with quality management policies;

14. Performs other related duties that may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.

III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

1. Education/Experience:

Academic:Bachelor's Degree, related field

Experience:Minimum of five (5) years experience in quality management system establishment, implementation and maintenance, hospital administration, or related field.

2. Skills and Abilities:

3. Knowledgeable about standards and regulations applicable for the healthcare industry.

4. Above average computer literacy and application, specifically, use of MS Office Applications;

5. Organized and detail oriented;

6. Good work ethics;

7. Able to work with minimal or no supervision;

8. Good project management skills

9. Ability to effectively and excellently manage people (internal and external customers)

10. Ability to exercise mature and sound judgment in the implementation of programs and services as well as the communication of information;

11. Excellent interpersonal skills;

12. Excellent communication skills both written and oral;

13. Ability to analyze and interpret data, and prepare concise and accurate reports;

14. Knowledge of current state and regulatory requirements.
