Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Quality Control Oversight
- Implement and maintain consistent QA/QC systems and procedures across all ongoing construction projects.
- Resolve major non-conformances affecting project progress, quality, or compliance.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Site Engineers to prevent quality-related rework and delays.
- Review quality risks during project execution and implement proactive corrective measures.
- Lead quality audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
Development of Quality Control Systems
- Develop, implement, and enforce the Company Quality Control Plan (QCP) and Inspection & Test Procedures (ITP).
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, technical specifications, building codes, and international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Analyze Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and develop preventive and corrective action plans.
- Lead internal quality improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
- Train, mentor, and assess QA/QC personnel on inspections, documentation, and defect management.
QA/QC Planning and Project Coordination
- Coordinate QA/QC manpower deployment and inspection schedules across multiple project sites.
- Work closely with Head Office and project teams to address logistics and operational issues affecting inspections and testing.
- Monitor inspection productivity, turnaround times, and overall quality performance.
- Prioritize QA/QC support during critical construction activities and milestones.
Stakeholder Communication and Quality Management
- Serve as the primary QA/QC representative during client and consultant meetings.
- Communicate QA/QC policies, procedures, and updates to project teams and supervisors.
- Coordinate audit findings, corrective actions, and quality initiatives with department heads and project directors.
- Ensure quality considerations are integrated into cross-functional planning and coordination meetings.
Strategic Resource Planning
- Allocate QA/QC resources based on project requirements and workload demands.
- Approve deployment and reassignment of QA/QC personnel to ensure adequate inspection coverage.
- Coordinate with Construction and Procurement teams to ensure timely availability of approved materials and testing requirements.
- Optimize QA/QC productivity and resource utilization across all projects.
- Identify and address resource gaps that may impact project quality or compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Licensed Civil Engineer is an advantage.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in QA/QC within the construction industry, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, inspection procedures, and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Experience managing QA/QC teams across multiple projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Willing to be assigned in Cebu.
