JOB SUMMARY

The QA/QC Engineer, in the role of Site Representative, will be tasked with processing Management System documents and ensuring the day-to-day adequacy of Quality Management System implementation. This involves conducting detailed reviews to assess how the system is established, operated, and modified when necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing quality procedures and inspection & testing plans with a strong emphasis on quality assurance and quality control prior to mobilization and execution on-site.
  • Ensure that quality requirements outlined in the Project Agreements are executed in accordance with the specified procedures.
  • Collaborates with the Project In-charge and Field Engineer to develop necessary methodologies pertaining to the scope of work and to conduct toolbox talks regarding quality procedures and critical quality compliance.
  • Responsible for ensuring adherence to quality standards by conducting inspections, tests, and quality control checks on materials and workmanship. Maintain accurate documentation and monitor compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinates with TSG and Field Engineer to develop documented plans, procedures, work instructions, and method statements before actual work implementation.
  • Initiating preliminary punch listing to minimize rectification efforts at completion, reducing labor costs and saving time.
  • Conducting in-process inspections of workmanship to promptly address non-conformities
  • Liaising with client representatives for the inspection of completed work phases and ensuring joint sign-off on compliance records before proceeding with activity
  • Witnessing tests to ensure adherence to the Activity Management plan on construction materials (concrete, rebar, masonry, structural steel) and completed works (welds, joints, compaction) to assess quality and integrity.
  • Reviewing and evaluating Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action/Preventive Action Requests (CARs/PARs), including trend analysis, for discussion at the Project Managers weekly progress meetings.
  • Responsible for assisting the Project in-charge and Field Engineer for final inspections prior to handover of project.
  • Collaborates with QA/QC Head to perform comprehensive quality audits to assess the overall quality of the completed project and identify any remaining deficiencies on non-conformities.
  • Collaborates with Field Engineer and EDT to compile and manage punch lists of outstanding items or defects that need to be addressed before final acceptance of the project and in reviewing warranty documentations provided to ensure that all warranties are in place.
  • Facilitating the handover process to the client, including conducting final walkthroughs, providing documentation, and addressing any outstanding issues and concerns.
