QA Automation Engineer (With hands-on Appium Experience)

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a QA Automation Engineer with hands-on Appium experience. The QA Automation Engineer will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for mobile and web applications, with a strong focus on Appium-based test frameworks. The role includes creating and executing test cases, performing manual and exploratory testing when needed, and ensuring comprehensive coverage across functional, regression, and integration testing. The engineer will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define acceptance criteria, identify defects, and drive continuous quality improvements. Additional responsibilities include integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, monitoring test results, documenting test outcomes, and contributing to best practices and standards for QA automation.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Quality Assurance and Software Testing principles, including test planning, test design, and defect management.
• Hands-on experience writing, executing, and maintaining Test Cases, including regression and integration test suites.
• Proficiency in Manual Testing techniques for mobile and web applications, including exploratory and usability testing.
• Practical experience with QA Automation, especially building and maintaining automation frameworks using Appium.
• Experience with scripting or programming languages commonly used in test automation (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., Jenkins, Git, GitLab CI, or similar) for integrating automated tests.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills, with attention to detail and reliability in test execution.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in cross-functional, remote teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience testing mobile apps in high-traffic consumer or mobility platforms is a plus.
