Location: BGC, Taguig (Hybrid Setup)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience Required: 2–3+ Years in QA Automation, with at least 1 year of hands-on Playwright experience

About the Role

GECO Asia is looking for a QA Automation Engineer with solid experience in test automation and hands-on expertise in Playwright. If you're passionate about building scalable automation solutions and ensuring software quality across modern web applications, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright (TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python)
• Build, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing
• Design and maintain test cases based on business and technical requirements
• Collaborate with developers, QA teams, product owners, and stakeholders
• Execute SQL queries for backend data validation
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects through resolution
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and continuous improvement initiatives
  
  

Must-Have Qualifications

2–3+ years of experience in QA Automation
At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Playwright (or more)
Strong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python
Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks
Strong background in test case design, execution, and defect management
Good understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and QA best practices
Experience working with web application testing

Nice to Have

Experience with Appium for mobile automation testing
Knowledge of SQL for data validation and database testing
Experience with API Testing tools such as Postman or Rest Assured
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
Experience with RPA tools such as UiPath
Basic Linux/Unix scripting knowledge
