Overview
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to support a global non-life insurance client. This role focuses on delivering high-quality software through automation, functional testing, and close collaboration with development teams.
This is ideal for candidates with solid hands-on testing experience and growing automation capability, particularly those with exposure to insurance systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web and API applications
- Create and maintain automation scripts using Selenium or similar tools
- Perform API testing and validation (Postman, REST, SOAP, etc.)
- Work closely with developers, product owners, and QA team members to ensure quality delivery
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
- Execute regression, integration, and UAT testing
- Perform basic database validation using SQL queries
- Contribute to improving test coverage and QA processes
Must-Have Qualifications
- 3-6 years of experience in software testing
- At least 2-3 years of automation testing experience
- Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Robot Framework, etc.)
- Experience in API testing (Postman or similar tools)
- Basic to intermediate SQL/database knowledge
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- At least 1 year of experience in the insurance domain (P&C, commercial, or life insurance)
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Exposure to Guidewire or similar insurance platforms
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow, etc.)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Basic understanding of .NET or other programming languages
