Job Summary
Lead Analyst of QA Laboratories. Ensures that the qualities of in-process samples are controlled and evaluated according to the documented quality control plan. Ensures that CTI's IMS is implemented in all processes of the section.
Fields Of Responsibility
Periodically
- Identifies the areas to review and evaluate in the standard test methods for updating and validation.
- Provides training to the reporting personnel when a new test method, new analytical technique, and new QA system is introduced.
- Initiates the review and evaluation of the sections current quality system and updates related documents.
Daily
- Conducts inspection and evaluation of raw materials, in-process samples, finished goods; interprets and reports the results thereof.
- Coordinates with production group regarding test results and other concerns.
- Controls the inventory of consumable laboratory supplies and maintains its availability for use.
- Ensures that proper laboratory housekeeping and safety practices are implemented.
- Ensures that quality records are filed and maintained properly.
- Participates in the discussion and evaluation of non-conformances in raw material deliveries.
- May operate the following analytical instruments: FT-IR Spectrophotometer, GC, HPLC, UV/VIS Spectrophotometer, and TGA/DSC, as needed.
- Performs other tasks that may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: A degree in B.S. Laboratory Technology or Chemical Engineering Technology. ( preferred: Licensed Chemist or Chemical Technician)
- Experience: Relevant hands-on work experience is required.
- Skills: Strong technical knowledge of analytical instruments and chemical analysis, along with excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
