Role Description The Purchasing Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Pasig, responsible for overseeing daily purchasing and procurement activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality supply of materials. This role manages end-to-end purchasing processes, including reviewing purchase requests, preparing and approving purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and monitoring delivery schedules. The Purchasing Supervisor evaluates vendor performance, negotiates pricing and terms, and maintains accurate purchasing records and documentation. The role collaborates closely with operations, finance, and warehousing teams to forecast demand, optimize inventory levels, and support production schedules. The Purchasing Supervisor also implements and monitors procurement policies, analyzes spending data, and identifies opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing processes and procurement, with the ability to manage end-to-end purchasing activities efficiently.
  • Experience in purchase management and handling purchase orders, including vendor coordination and documentation control.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills for evaluating supplier performance, pricing, and inventory requirements.
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or related sectors is highly preferred.
  • Ability to lead and supervise a purchasing team, with effective delegation and performance monitoring.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency with MS Office and ERP or purchasing systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
