Role: Permanent
Purchasing Operations Team Lead
Lead the timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of Purchasing Operations activities in scope, in line with Corporate Policies and Procedures and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Drive standardisation to ensure consistent and scalable service delivery, and support simplification/automation and operational controls to mitigate process risks. Lead team performance and development while maintaining strong stakeholder partnerships.
As thePurchasing Operations Team Lead inGBS Manila,you will be responsible for:
1) Core service delivery
- Lead end-to-end Purchasing Operations delivery in compliance with policies/procedures and SLAs
- Convert Purchase Requisitions into Purchase Orders
- Process Purchase Order requests: (Creation,Amendment,Closure,Deletion)
- Prepare, consolidate, and analyse Purchasing Operations reports (e.g., GRIR, lease-related reports), including gathering end-user feedback
- Respond to Purchasing Operations inquiries and provide resolution within agreed timelines
- Deliver training to employees on Purchasing Operations processes and ways of working
2) Controls, compliance, and audit
- Execute and document Procure-to-Pay (P2P) JSOX control requirements
- Support internal and external audits, including evidence preparation and follow-ups
- Ensure operational controls are executed properly by the team
- Escalate major operational failures and ensure mitigating actions are defined and tracked
- Ensure regular review and update of process documentation (Service Catalogue, SOPs)
3) Process improvement and standardisation
- Support standardisation of Purchasing Operations processes across scope to ensure consistency and scalability
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives including simplification and automation
- Support the Purchasing Operations CPM in implementing/strengthening operational controls to address process risks
4) Team performance management
- Deliver established service targets, service metrics, and KPIs
- Drive process improvements and productivity initiatives within the team
- Ensure service continuity through effective handovers and a robust backup system
- Initiate engagement activities to support team motivation and retention
5) Team development and coaching
- Take a leading role in team members development
- Build development plans aligned with individual skills, aspirations, and business needs monitor progress and adjust as needed
- Coach team members in professional capabilities and behaviours
- Provide regular, constructive feedback and encourage a strong speak-up culture
6) Stakeholder management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders in markets, factories, and global functions
- Demonstrate business partnership and customer centricity embed these behaviours within the team
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or similar
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, and three-way matching
- Minimum three years of experience in Finance/Accounting (preferably Procure-to-Pay)
- Minimum three years of people management experience
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Experience managing medium-sized teams
- Strong knowledge of P2P policies and procedures
- Strong process management, critical thinking, and attention to detail
- Flexible and able to adapt quickly to changing requirements
- Strong customer-service mindset and continuous improvement orientation
- Experience using financial systems SAP HANA experience preferred
- ATAI experience is a plus
- Knowledge of IFRS 16 is a plus
