Role Description The Purchasing Officer is responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing cycle to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of supplies, equipment, and services for the clinic and laboratory operations. This full-time, hybrid role is primarily based in Parañaque, with some work-from-home flexibility, and involves coordinating with internal departments to review purchase requisitions, preparing and processing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate purchasing records. The role includes sourcing and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing, and monitoring vendor performance to support quality and budget targets. The Purchasing Officer will also analyze consumption patterns, support inventory control, ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations, and collaborate with finance and operations teams to resolve discrepancies and improve purchasing processes.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, including handling purchase requisitions and preparing purchase orders.
- Experience with contract negotiation and vendor management to secure favorable terms and maintain reliable supplier relationships.
- Demonstrated analytical skills for evaluating quotations, monitoring costs, and supporting data-driven purchasing decisions.
- Attention to detail and proficiency in using spreadsheets or procurement software for tracking orders and maintaining records.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setup, managing tasks both on-site in Parañaque and remotely.
- Prior experience in healthcare, clinical, or laboratory procurement is an advantage.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
