Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing/Procurement Specialist with experience in the furniture manufacturing industry to manage the sourcing and procurement of raw materials, hardware, and production supplies. The role is responsible for ensuring timely, cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards and supporting uninterrupted production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure raw materials, hardware, fittings, and production supplies for furniture manufacturing.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Issue purchase orders and monitor deliveries to ensure materials arrive on schedule.
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, and suppliers to maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Evaluate supplier performance and establish strong vendor relationships.
- Monitor purchasing costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and documentation requirements.
- Resolve supply, delivery, and quality issues with vendors promptly.
Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years of procurement or purchasing experience in a furniture manufacturing or modular cabinet company is required.
- Strong knowledge of furniture materials, boards, laminates, hardware, accessories, and production supplies.
- Experience in supplier sourcing, vendor negotiation, and inventory management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP or purchasing systems.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Willing to work onsite, Mon-Sat
- This is an entry-level role; freshers are highly preferred.
