About the Role

NU Baliwag is seeking a highly motivated and student-centered Psychology Faculty Member to join our academic team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering quality instruction, mentoring students, and contributing to the continuous development of the Psychology program in line with our commitment to #EducationThatWorks.

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Psychology (Clinical, Educational, Industrial/Organizational, or related field) from a recognized higher education institution
  • Doctoral degree or ongoing doctoral studies is an advantage
  • Licensed Psychometrician or Registered Psychologist (preferred)
  • With at least one (1) year of teaching experience in tertiary education (fresh graduates with strong academic background may also apply)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of psychological theories, research methods, and assessment tools
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Filipino
  • Proficient in the use of learning management systems and educational technologies for flexible and blended learning environments
  • With research capability and willingness to engage in scholarly publication and academic conferences
  • Displays professionalism, ethical conduct, and commitment to student development and academic excellence

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality instruction in assigned undergraduate psychology courses in accordance with approved curriculum and institutional standards
  • Develop and update course syllabi, lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessment tools aligned with outcomes-based education
  • Facilitate interactive and inclusive classroom and online learning experiences that promote critical thinking and psychological insight
  • Provide academic consultation, mentoring, and guidance to students to support their academic and professional growth
  • Design, administer, and evaluate examinations, projects, and other learning assessments in a timely and constructive manner
  • Participate in curriculum review, program accreditation, and quality assurance initiatives
  • Engage in research, scholarly work, and academic publications consistent with university expectations
  • Contribute to institutional activities such as faculty meetings, committee work, student activities, and community extension programs
  • Maintain accurate academic records and submit required reports within prescribed deadlines
  • Uphold university policies, professional ethics, and standards of conduct in all academic and administrative responsibilities
