This is a permanent onsite position
Job Purpose:
Under moderate supervision, this position is responsible for responding to provider or client inquiries via phone, fax or email. Medata's proprietary workers compensation and auto liability claims cost-containment software will be utilized to look up these inquiries and all touches will be logged in Customer Service tracking/logging software.
Duties:
- Answer phone calls and respond to provider's inquiries as appropriate
- Handle provider email and FAX inquiries as assigned and as appropriate
- Log all provider interaction touches fully, accurately and professionally
- Handle all contact with all providers in a professional and courteous manner
- Adhere to Productivity Standards as documented
- Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is required as an essential function of this role
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements/Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience working in a Call Center and/or Customer Service department, 1-3 years
- Ability to work in a high call volume environment while meeting Productivity Standards with high quality
- Answer inquiries by clarifying desired information: researching, locating, and providing appropriate information
- Researching billing history
- Proficiency with touch-typing at a minimum or 40 WPM
- Proficiency with 10-key pad at 9000+ kph or equivalent bill processing rate
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
