Your impact

Our Energy & Power team is helping clients across the Asia Pacific region modernize and expand critical transmission and distribution infrastructure. As demand for reliable, sustainable, and resilient power networks continues to grow, we're looking for a Protection & Control Engineer to join our expanding team.

In this role, you'll contribute to the delivery of high-voltage substation projects up to 500kV, supporting clients across the APAC region. Whether your expertise lies in Protection Systems, Secondary Systems, or a combination of both, you'll play a key role in developing innovative engineering solutions and delivering complex multidisciplinary projects.

You'll work alongside some of the industry's leading experts, collaborate with globally connected teams, and have opportunities to grow into technical leadership and project leadership positions.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Leading and coordinating technical delivery on multidisciplinary substation projects while managing project scope, schedule, resources, and budgets
  • Developing engineering solutions and detailed designs for protection, control, and secondary systems
  • Preparing and reviewing electrical single-line diagrams, protection and metering schemes, control schematics, interlocking and inter-tripping arrangements, interface schedules, and I/O mapping tables
  • Designing and integrating IEC 61850-based substation communication networks and automation systems
  • Supporting procurement activities through the preparation of technical specifications, datasheets, and tender evaluations
  • Conducting engineering reviews and ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards, safety requirements, and quality processes
  • Providing technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineers, designers, and project team members
  • Collaborating with globally connected teams and supporting clients to deliver safe, innovative, and technically excellent outcomes
  • Supporting construction, site testing, commissioning, and operational readiness activities as required

Here's what you'll need

  • Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in transmission and distribution projects, particularly HV substation design.
  • Strong experience in protection and control engineering, secondary systems engineering, or both.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, utility requirements, and power system practices.
  • Experience working on multidisciplinary engineering projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
