Role Description The Property Engineer is a full-time, on-site role located in Tagaytay, responsible for the technical operation, maintenance, and improvement of building systems and facilities. The role involves performing routine inspections of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems, identifying issues, and coordinating timely repairs and preventive maintenance. The Property Engineer monitors equipment performance, supports energy efficiency initiatives, and ensures compliance with relevant safety and building standards. Day-to-day tasks include responding to service requests, maintaining accurate maintenance records, collaborating with contractors and vendors, and providing technical support to property management and occupants. The role also includes assisting with planning and execution of facility upgrades, supporting emergency response procedures, and recommending improvements to enhance reliability and cost-effectiveness of property operations.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection, with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Experience in facilities operations, preventive maintenance planning, and use of maintenance management tools or systems.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and workplace health and safety practices relevant to property and facility management.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate with property management, occupants, contractors, and vendors.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently on-site with minimal supervision.
- Licensed Mechanical or Electrical Engineer is required.
- Previous experience in property engineering, building maintenance, or facilities services, ideally within commercial or mixed-use properties.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and comfort with documenting work, maintaining logs, and preparing simple reports.
