Property Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Property Engineer role based in Makati. The Property Engineer will oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical equipment. The role includes performing routine inspections, monitoring equipment performance, and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities with in-house staff and external contractors. The Property Engineer will respond to tenant or client service requests, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure that safety, regulatory, and company standards are consistently met. The position also involves supporting energy efficiency initiatives, maintaining accurate maintenance logs and reports, and assisting with budgeting and planning for capital improvements. The Property Engineer will collaborate with property management, vendors, and other technical personnel to ensure reliable building operations and a high level of occupant satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Licensed Electrical Engineer
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection, with hands-on experience in equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in facilities management or property engineering, including preventive maintenance planning, contractor coordination, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and engineering documentation, and apply these to daily operations and repairs.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to respond calmly and efficiently to urgent maintenance and building system issues.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with property management, vendors, and occupants, and to document work clearly and accurately.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and willingness to use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and digital reporting tools.
• Relevant technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Engineering, or an equivalent field; appropriate licenses or certifications are an advantage.
• Willingness to work on-site in Makati, including participation in shifting schedules, on-call.
