Role Description The Property Accountant – Property Management is a full-time, on-site role based in Batangas. This position is responsible for recording and reviewing daily financial transactions, preparing journal entries, and maintaining accurate general ledger accounts for assigned properties. The role includes preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements, assisting with budgets and forecasts, and supporting financial reporting requirements for internal stakeholders and external auditors. The Property Accountant will reconcile accounts, monitor expenses and revenues, ensure compliance with accounting policies, and collaborate with property management teams to address financial queries and support operational decision-making. The role also involves preparing variance analyses, supporting year-end closing activities, and contributing to process improvements in accounting workflows.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles, with the ability to apply these in a property management environment.
- Proficiency in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting for multiple properties or business units.
- Hands-on experience with Journal Entries (Accounting), general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
- Ability to work with property management systems and accounting software; advanced skills in spreadsheet tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage deadlines across multiple assignments.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA) is an advantage.
- Experience in real estate, hospitality, or property management accounting is preferred.
