Job Description
Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant 1 is responsible in supporting core accounting functions including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting while ensuring accuracy and compliance. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams and manages property and project accounting activities to support timely and reliable financial operations.
Job Description:
• Reconciles bank accounts daily and monthly to ensure accuracy and completeness of transactions.
• Records and codes credit card transactions in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi).
• Prepares and reviews loan statements, interest reserve accounts, and intercompany transactions.
• Monitors cash balances and maintains daily cash trackers to support cash flow management.
• Prepares journal entries from settlement statements and other financial activities.
• Supports monthly financial reporting, including sales bonuses and tax packages with complete documentation.
• Reviews and corrects general ledger coding errors and processes adjustments as needed.
• Validates AR/AP aging balances and coordinates with Property Management for discrepancies.
• Reviews personal work for accuracy and ensures high-quality deliverables.
• Provides guidance and support to junior team members as needed.
• Identifies process gaps and recommends improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Maintains and updates accounting records in systems such as Yardi and DealForce.
• Retrieves and organizes documents related to financial closings and reporting requirements.
• Processes vendor documentation including W-9s, COIs, and supports 1099 preparation.
• Performs tenant and non-tenant checks, insurance-related accounting, and fee tracking.
• Prepares tax-related filings and supporting schedules with minimal supervision.
• Assists in project close-outs and financial accounting activities.
• Documents unique project conditions to support accurate and efficient processing.

• Performs accurate financial calculations and reconciliations with strong attention to detail.
• Manages multiple priorities and meets strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills.
• Maintains accuracy and consistency in financial data and reporting.
• Works independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrates accountability and ownership of assigned tasks.
• Applies problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Clear and coherent both written and verbal communication skills in English.
Screening Criteria:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of four (4) years of accounting experience.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel and Word for financial reporting and documentation.
• Must have stable employment history.
