Position Summary
The Project Site Execution Lead is responsible for managing the execution of the projects under the scope of varying discipline, size, and complexity in accordance with the Project Life Cycle Management process.
The Role is responsible for effectively resourcing the project and manages relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Manages the timeliness, completeness and quality outputs Work Pack Preparers, allocating and utilizing resources in an efficient manner and maintaining a co-operative, motivated and successful team; for directing, organizing, and controlling project activities, under the direction of the Project Brownfield Manager; and for assisting the Project Brownfield Manager in identification of cost saving initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Acts as focal point and responsible for the flawless execution of the projects including schedule, quality and budget control.
- Ensures that Project Life Cycle Management procedure is being adhered all the time in executing projects.
- Implement Brownfield Project Delivery Process and Assurance Plan that is fit for purpose for Project Context.
- Participates in the Engineering Change Management Committee Meeting as and when required.
- Acts as Responsible Person in the application and revocation of the Permit to Work.
- Ensures all work is performed in accordance with Site Safety Rules and other relevant Risk Assurance Department procedures.
- Adheres to all relevant contracting and procurement process.
- Monitors work on a regular basis ensuring the project is completed on budget, on time and the quality requirements are met.
- Coordinates with the contractor all activities pertaining to the project.
- Serves as a major liaison vehicle between the Company and Contractors; promotes communication efficiency in related business areas.
- In charge of contractor management and ensures the contract specifications are strictly followed by contractors and continuously monitors the safety compliance with the support of the Site Safety Department.
- Ensures the quality of project deliverables are properly controlled throughout the project implementation.
- Resolves facility project issues on behalf of the line manager and provides expert advice to the management.
- Performs general housekeeping functions as necessary.
- Prepares and maintains a variety of records, makes verbal and written reports of work performed.
- Discusses planned and unplanned jobs with the Project Brownfield Manager regularly.
- Inspects and monitors work of third-party services or contractors.
- Participates in plant wide programs initiated by the Environment, Health and Safety, and HRA (i.e., plant walk down and clean down activities, habitat protection programs such as tree planting and coastal clean-up, wellness program, round table meetings etc.).
- Collate, and execute all project reporting requirements including monthly project reports and dashboards to internal and external stakeholders as per agreed deadlines and cut offs.
- Extend relevant support to other departments such as, but not limited to cascading and/or adopting initiatives, programs, projects and activities
- Protects information assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction, or interference in accordance with ISMS policies. Maintains availability, confidentiality, and integrity of documents
Qualifications
- Experience: At least 5 years experience in Project Management or Project Execution, preferably in a Powerplant setting/industry
- Leadership Experience: At least 5 years experience in People Management
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Chemical Engineering or a related technical field
- License Required: Licensed by Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) is an advantage
