Your Role, Your Impact
The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and controlling construction schedules for all projects
within the assigned Finishing Cluster. The role ensures effective planning, timely identification of delays, efficient Extension
of Time (EOT) evaluation, and proactive schedule risk management to support timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Planning and Scheduling
Develop and maintain baseline project schedules using the PERT-CPM (Program Evaluation and Review Technique
Critical Path Method).
Prepare detailed construction schedules, look-ahead schedules, and recovery plans.
Monitor critical paths, milestones, and schedule variances and recommend mitigation actions.
2. EOT and Delay Analysis
Review and evaluate Extension of Time (EOT) claims based on approved schedules and actual site conditions.
Conduct time impact analyses and provide planning inputs for management decisions.
Maintain records of delays, causes, and schedule impacts at the cluster level.
3. Coordination and Integration
Coordinate with Project Managers to align schedules with site progress and execution strategies.
Work with Procurement and Contracts teams to align awarding timelines with construction requirements.
Support the phased transition of planning responsibilities from ECMs to internal planning resources.
4. Monitoring and Reporting
Prepare and submit regular planning and progress reports, including variance analysis and forecast completion
dates.
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of planning data submitted to management.
Establish and apply standard planning templates and reporting formats across cluster projects.
5. Process Control and Improvement
Safeguard confidentiality and integrity of planning data.
Identify planning gaps and recommend process improvements to enhance schedule control.
Provide data-driven planning insights to support management decision-making.
Who We're Looking For
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Licensed Civil Engineer (preferred)
3-5 years experience in construction planning and scheduling
Proven experience in PERT-CPM scheduling, EOT evaluation, and delay analysis
Proficient in Microsoft Project
Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills
