Job Description

The Project Officer ensures timely and successful delivery of approved projects. The role focuses on facilitating, monitoring, and aligning deliverables from functional teams (e.g., Legal, Document Control, Engineering, Permitting, Finance) to ensure continuity from acquisition through project readiness. The officer contributes by tracking progress, surfacing issues early, and recommending solutions that keep projects on time, within budget, and compliant with internal and external requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track all property due diligence and documentation prepared by relevant functional teams; escalate issues and recommend solutions where needed.
  • Ensure that all due diligence and permitting requirements are completed within defined contingency periods and before critical project deadlines.
  • Facilitate coordination among functional teams to ensure timely handover of requirements.
  • Monitor post-acquisition clean-up activities handled and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
  • Will manage the day-to-day development and progress of each project, initiating and/or helping in the quick and effective resolution of barriers and other difficulties encountered in the course of the project execution.
  • Will establish and manage a system of properly and accurately documenting all the project development details, controlling project changes and having such documents organized for easy retrieval and review.
  • Maintain updated regular reports and trackers on project progress for senior management review and decision-making.
  • Identify risks, delays, or bottlenecks in functional team outputs, and propose corrective actions.
  • Perform other monitoring and facilitation tasks in support of project execution as required by management.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Real Estate, or related field from a reputable university.
  • Preferably with relevant years of experience in project management, business development, land acquisition, real estate development, permitting, or related fields preferably gained from the real estate or development industries
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and facilitate deliverables across functional teams (e.g., Legal, Document Control, Technical Services, Permitting).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to escalate issues and propose practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project tracking tools (knowledge of digital workflow tools is an advantage).
  • Must be willing to travel and be assigned temporarily to provincial areas.
